Thank you for your interest in working at Barden & Barden. Our firm's superior reputation for employee satisfaction is based on a guiding philosophy that happy and motivated employees produce better results for our clients and coworkers. When hiring, we use a rigorous selection process to identify potential candidates whose characteristics and goals are consistent with creating and maintaining a healthy team. Typical attributes of new hires include:
- You want to work at a place that supports your unique abilities and what is important to you.
- You want more responsibility for client matters to enhance your career growth.
- You want to be at a place that embraces technology to make your working life better.
- You prefer a progressive approach to the practice of law and serving clients.
- You desire an environment with a family feel instead of a corporate feel.
While we believe the work we do and the clients we help are important, we strongly feel that the happiness of our employees is critical to our mission of positively impacting the community in which we work and live. To that end, we are committed to the following core values:
- Through continuous improvement we develop mastery in our work and in life.
- We work as a team and are empowered to individually solve problems within our area of responsibility.
- We seek rapport with every person involved in our cases while advocating the best solutions for our clients.
- We use technology to enhance the client experience and make our work more efficient.
- We encourage innovation and creative strategies to reach our full potential.
We only hire a new employee when we are ready to devote the time and resources to their development. We want every team member to become the best version of themselves so that they can contribute fully to our firm's ability to help and serve clients. We want to put new employees in situations they are comfortable with and to also provide opportunities that challenge them to grow and learn. Unlike many traditional law firms, we don't put employees into boxes that limit their career potential. For instance, our firm is not structured in the old way of partner-associate-staff, where employees are treated differently depending on what group they fall into. Instead, we structure our firm into functional roles--each role being critical to the success of the firm--and put employees into roles that best fit their skills and abilities.
Our office is located on the beautiful South Hill in Spokane, Washington in a 125 year-old Victorian house. Next door to us is the Chrysalis art gallery. Across the street is a Huckleberry's natural food market, Ace hardware store, and women's clothing boutique. We are less than five minutes to downtown Spokane and the courthouses. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, flexible work schedules, remote/hybrid options for certain positions, and a generous bonus program.
